Welcome!I am a fibre artist who specializes in two distinct areas:
Neckties are my favourite fabric - little bits of gorgeous silk that used to hang around a man's neck. I repurpose them into clerical stoles, also known as clerical vestments.

In 1999, I co-founded the Okanagan Knitting Retreat with two friends, Wendy Henderson and Gloria Hanson. These retreats have become a tradition for many participants and are now held at Sorrento Centre on Shuswap Lake, in the interior of British Columbia. The purpose of the retreat is to develop independence and a deeper appreciation for the knitting process.
In everything I do, it's important that the work “feeds my soul”. I create liturgical art stoles for clergy that give as much pleasure and joy to the recipients as I had during the creative process. Likewise with the knitting retreats; not only am I providing education and training to knitters of all experience levels, but I foster a sense of community amongst all the participants.
The statement by William Morris, “Art should be a joy to the maker and the user” strikes a responsive chord with me.
I invite you to view my Galleries on the Liturgial Stoles page, and the Testimonials from Stole Owners Around the World. You can also view information on Commissioning a Stole or how to Register for the Knitting Retreat.
